D.C. Circuit sent complaints about Kavanaugh's testimony to Chief Justice Roberts

Source: WaPo

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has received more than a dozen judicial misconduct complaints against Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh in recent weeks but has chosen for the time being not to refer them to a judicial panel for investigation.

A judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — the court on which Kavanaugh serves — sent a string of complaints to Roberts starting three weeks ago, according to four people familiar with the matter.

That judge, Karen LeCraft Henderson, had dismissed other complaints against Kavanaugh as frivolous, but she concluded that some were substantive enough that they should not be handled by Kavanaugh’s fellow judges in the D.C. Circuit.

In a statement Saturday, Henderson acknowledged the complaints and said they centered on statements Kavanaugh made during his Senate confirmation hearings.

We realize these issues, at this time, is - too little, too late - moot; but it corroborates the fact that B.K. is morally bankrupt and - unfit.

a sitting SCOTUS justice if the justice refused to testify before Congress. That would be a very interesting situation. It might even provoke a constitutional crisis.

there is no way to force him to resign from the SCOTUS. He could be impeached but there will be no way to get 67 votes in the Senate to convict him and remove him for the foreseeable future. If the Democrats should be able to retake the Senate majority in the upcoming election, they will not have anywhere near 67 votes. If we think otherwise we will be kidding ourselves.

Sorry for the reality check. The only way out of this mess is to retake the White House so we can start nominating more progressive justices as vacancies occur. We also need to pray for the good health of Justice Ginsburg. And the 2020 election will be pivotal.

“The complaints do not pertain to any conduct in which Judge Kavanaugh engaged as a judge. The complaints seek investigations only of the public statements he has made as a nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States.”
I don't believe that will have any impact

And even if this had fleshed out earlier, I doubt if it would have made an difference. The Senate Republicans were hell bent on conforming him no matter what. A few like Flake and Collins pretended to have concerns but we all know that was just window dressing and they would vote for him in the end which they did.

Just written up in legal format and filed with the right legal verbiage.

The timing ranges from "um, suspicious that it's now and not earlier" to "some were filed as soon as possible given that the events happened very recently."

It's all a game, everybody knows it's a game, and nobody takes it seriously. Nothing's going to come over it. He's on the Supreme Court. unless he kills over from a heart attack he's going to stay on the Supreme Court for the next 30 Years. Better to spend the effort getting Trump out of office in 2020 so that the next Democrat can dominate liberals than trying to undo what's done.
Mobilizing Republicans to get them out to vote is just counterproductive.

We do need to kick these guys back hard in a totally legal and legit way.

All they (crony/ corrupts) do is laugh at me jumping through hoops.

This confirmation is carnage to the nth degree; because they openly DGAF and proved they don't need to.

Sirota and Taibbi talk about why Hillary lost (and I don't like her); but they are all wrong. It had nothing to do with Hillary's failures. Has everything to do with 7 million blocked votes.

They are going to block a lot more, in a few weeks; which may help them retain both House & Senate.

As our nation's soul - burns all the more!

No matter how civilized they can pretend to be in confirmation hearings, when push comes to shove, they serve their rich masters.
