Kavanaugh's 'Revenge' Theory Draws Attention To His Past With Clintons

WASHINGTON (AP) — To some, Brett Kavanaugh is clearing his name. To others, he’s veering into conspiracy theory.

But in blaming “revenge on behalf of the Clintons” for the sexual misconduct allegations against him, the Supreme Court nominee is drawing new attention to his time on the Kenneth Starr team investigating Bill Clinton. And in doing so, he’s shown he can deliver a Trump-like broadside against detractors even if it casts him in a potentially partisan light.

As a young lawyer, Kavanaugh played a key role on Starr’s team investigating sexual misconduct by then-President Bill Clinton, helping to shape one of the most salacious chapters in modern political history.

Kavanaugh spent a good part of the mid-1990s jetting back and forth to Little Rock, Arkansas, digging into the Clintons’ background, according to documents that were made public as part of his nomination to the Supreme Court.

This is so republican. When they have behaved abominably, they immediately PROJECT their same evil motives and actions on to other people. Pretty damn sick republican pattern.

Doubleplusungood.

There's this which should also be investigated Kavanaugh isn't the choirboy that he wants everyone to believe he is

To my surprise, the incident has suddenly become a second front in his nomination saga on Capitol Hill. Senator Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has accused him of violating secrecy laws by revealing the details of a federal grand jury.

“Disclosing grand jury information is against the law,” she told Politico. She said it also showed he had misled the Senate by assuring categorically that he had never leaked grand jury material to journalists.

Sen Feinstein released a ‘smoking gun’ document from the archive files of the Starr investigation. It shows Mr Kavanaugh’s efforts to suppress a news story about his wild cross-examination of a witness, including a wayward discussion of “genitalia” that particularly worried him.

What I hate the very very most about all this is the reward for bad behavior. He’s being rewarded and reinforced with a nomination to a LIFETIME appointment to the highest court in the land.

And what kind of “teachable moment” do you suppose that is - for young and up-‘n’-coming young kkkarl roves and Roger Stones? And yes, young Brett Kavanaugh wannabes, too. Wow! Look where those dark arts can lead?

What we’re learning is a textbook operation that plots out how crime really does pay. The good guys finally prevailing? That’s only in the movies. Just like in the marketplace. Driving out all the little guys so the big giant can corner the market and rule unopposed. That’s the economic version.

Now, we’ll have the political “market” fixed too. ALL THREE branches of the federal government turned into wholly-owned subsidiaries of one ideology. The Legislative (Congress), the Executive (White House), and now the Judiciary (the courts, mainly the Supreme Court). The whole idea of the Founders - of checks and balances - is subverted. Corrupted. Trashed. Summarily Dismissed. Cornering the market THERE, too. I guess we’re seeing the political equivalent of the “free market” playing out to its logical end: market domination. A plain ol’ monopoly.

Dear God I hope we can take at least the House back!!! Break up and foil at least one piece of that monopoly.

VOTE, DAMMIT!!!!!
