ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The Alaska Department of Law stood by a judge's sentence that calls for no jail time for an Anchorage man who authorities say offered a woman a ride and choked her until she was unconscious.

Justin Schneider, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault in the case. A kidnapping charge was dropped as part of the plea deal.

Anchorage Superior Court Judge Michael Corey sentenced Schneider to two years with a year suspended.

Schneider also received credit for a year he served under house arrest and will serve no additional time as long as he doesn't violate the conditions of his probation.

the judge referring to Schneider as "the gentleman."

Any man who puts his hands around a woman's neck, threatens to kill her, then chokes her into unconsciousness and proceeds to masturbate all over her is NO GENTLEMAN. This judge should be removed from the bench by any means available.

did most of this, and more to both ex-wives. Since his mommy was such a "babe" he got kid glove treatment. Maybe this "gentleman" is a republican voter, since the rules are much more lax for them.

The corrupt society being established by republican's will always be corrupt and evil. They protect their own and provide a way for criminals to continue their evil ways AGAIN. They ensure their criminal herd members are out in public to continue being free to commit crimes which affect society....
