Accuser's schoolmate says she recalls hearing of alleged Kavanaugh incident
Source: NBC News
WASHINGTON A former schoolmate of Brett Kavanaugh's accuser wrote a Facebook post saying she recalls hearing about the alleged assault incident involving the future Supreme Court nominee, though she says she has no first-hand information to corroborate the accuser's claims.
"Christine Blasey Ford was a year or so behind me," wrote the woman, Cristina Miranda King, who now works as a performing arts curator in Mexico City. "I did not know her personally but I remember her. This incident did happen."
She added, "Many of us heard a buzz about it indirectly with few specific details. However Christine's vivid recollection should be more than enough for us to truly, deeply know that the accusation is true."

The assertion that other people heard about and discussed an incident between Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh at the time it is alleged to have happened could loom as an important factor in any investigation of the claim.

I guess Republicans believe that this was a thirty year old conspiracy where Ford, anticipating that a high school Brett Kavanaugh would be nominated to the Supreme Court, spread rumors of the assault, so that she could bring it up 30 years later. Totally a deep state move.

(11,885 posts)They're scared to death he'll be exposed more, and I think he will , a lot more, and all this will backfire badly from them not dropping kavanaugh. They're making it more likely that the Senate now will be turned over to the Democrats from their handling of this issue allowing kavanaugh to remain in the running . He's a liar and is corrupt.

Tying up loose ends might elucidate something.

(26,366 posts)A former classmate of Christine Blasey Ford tells NPR that she does not know if an alleged sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh took place as she first suggested on social media.
"That it happened or not, I have no idea," Cristina King Miranda told NPR's Nina Totenberg. "I can't say that it did or didn't."
That's different from what Miranda wrote Wednesday in a now-deleted Facebook post that stated definitively, "The incident DID happen, many of us heard about it in school."

(26,760 posts)I have no idea what "I was empowered" means in this context... but it isn't good. The letter she signed is the more appropriate way to show support.
That's really bad.

(1,058 posts)I just got accused on another thread of being a freeper because I said Kavanaugh isn't a rapist, not even Dr. Ford is saying that he raped her.

(17,390 posts)At the time? If a woman told you about an sexual attack, you would not necessarily know that the attack occurred, but you would know about the complaint.
Now, unless you say there is some 30 year conspiracy, complaints near time of incident would support Fords credibility.
