Russia: Missile that shot down flight MH17 was Ukrainian

MOSCOW — The Russian military said on Monday that the missile that shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, killing all 298 people on board, came from the arsenals of the Ukrainian army, not from Russia.

The jet was shot down by a Soviet-made missile over rebel-held eastern Ukraine in July 2014, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the Russian border, where fighting had been raging for months between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed separatists.

The Netherlands and Australia announced in May that they believe the missile was transported to Ukraine from a military unit in the Russian city of Kursk.

Russia has vehemently denied involvement and has over the years come up with various theories as to the cause of the crash, generally laying the blame on the Ukrainian side.

...who pulled the trigger.

1. So Russian operatives got Ukrainian property.
2. Move it across border.
3. Pulled the trigger.
4. Blame it on other people.
5. Dismiss all other theories as "fake news" [propaganda]

Occum's Razor: the simplest answer tends to be the correct one.

They showed the picture of holes in the recovered fuselage that without a doubt proved it was Ukrainian jet cannons that did it... I guess they had to change their story when that didn't pan out.

I wonder if Trump will come out to agree with this most recent claim.

Once you've illegally invaded other countries, poisoned opponents, interferred with democratic elections, and told proven lies for years already.....even IF you were telling the truth this time, you have zero credibilty now. It seems almost pathetic for Putin to still be insisting on his innocence.
