Klobuchar: It's a problem when GOP won't work with Dems because they're 'afraid of pissing off Trum

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) on Sunday praised the late Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) willingness to work across party lines during his Senate career, and lamented that fewer lawmakers do the same in the current political climate.
"We have to see more of it, and when people are afraid of pissing off President Trump and so they wont come over and work with us, thats a problem. So people are going to have to rise to the occasion," Klobuchar said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Klobuchar said it was unsurprising that McCain's memorial service on Saturday featured numerous subtle references to the Trump presidency because the late senator was so willing to work with Democrats and "stand up and take on bullies."
She noted that she and McCain worked together on legislation to bring down the cost of prescription drugs, as well as a bill aimed at social media disclosure titled the Honest Ads Act..............................................
