Parkland student rips Rubio for complaint about Neil Armstrong movie: Where was this energy after school shooting?
BY AVERY ANAPOL - 09/01/18 07:47 PM EDT
A survivor of the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, ripped Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Saturday after he complained about an upcoming Neil Armstrong biopic for failing to include the astronaut planting an American flag on the moon.
Sarah Chadwick, a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, tweeted at the senator in response to his comment slamming the films omission as total lunacy.
Where was this energy from you when 17 people [were] killed at my school? she tweeted, alongside the senator's comment.
The tweet quickly went viral, garnering more than 3,500 retweets and 19,000 likes in six hours.

(16,937 posts)wish something evil on someone, even "him" - but, wouldn't it be funny if IQ45 choked to death while he was humping the flag in front of a "crowd" of Trumpsters?

(1,718 posts)Huge amount of butthurt about it because the moon landing scene didn't include the flag planting. The IMDB ratings got so tanked it's now at 5.1

(12,509 posts)for voting an ignorant lying slug like Rubio to be a senator.
WP: The same day The Washington Post reported that Senator Marco Rubio's parents left Cuba for Miami in 1956, the second sentence in the senator's bio on his official Senate website got changed. No longer did it claim his parents had come to the U.S., quote, "following Fidel Castro's takeover on the first day of 1959." That sentence now says Rubio was, quote, "born in Miami in 1971 to Cuban exiles who first arrived in the United States in 1956."
I'm still stunned that just because Senator Obama successfully ran for president not long after entering his first term in the senate, dummy Rubio actually thought he was smart enough to do the same. It's not surprising Marco is avoiding replying the Parkland students.
Thanks for this POS in the senate south Florida.

(37,648 posts)They voted majority for Trump, but far less than the Repub usually gets percentage-wise of their votes.
I told other Democrats leading up to the election not to expect a big win with the Cuban Floridians, despite the anti-immigration rhetoric of Trump. But Dems still thought that Hillary would get that vote. Florida is even more Republican now than it used to be. I've read that some pollsters no longer consider it a purple state.
So it makes sense that Cubans, who vote Republican often, anyway, would vote for a Cuban Republican.
Maybe it can be turned bluer because of Trump.

He didn't say it was one step for an "American."
A lot of other nationalities helped put us on the moon. Gee, maybe even some of Cuban lineage?

(9,350 posts)Complaining that a movie did show a picture of Neil Armstrong planting a flag on the Moon is one of the stupidest thing to complain about. I thought Marco Rubio's complaint would be stupid, but I did not think it would be this stupid.
