Graham: Trump, Sessions relationship is 'beyond repair'
Source: The Hill
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Tuesday said he believes the relationship between President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions is "beyond repair" adding that he thinks that the U.S. needs an attorney general that can "work with the president."
"We need an attorney general that can work with the president, that can lead the Department of Justice," Graham said on NBC's "Today" show. "This relationship is beyond repair, I think."
Graham added he believes that any replacement for Sessions would have to "commit to the Senate and the country as a whole that [special counsel Robert] Mueller will be allowed to finish his job without political interference."
"The presidents lost confidence in Sessions," Graham said. "Is there somebody whos highly qualified that has the confidence of the president, who will also understand that their job is to protect Mueller? Yes, I think we can find that person after the election, if thats what the president wants."

(3,276 posts)Trey is a good guess. But Lindsey is a former USAF prosecutor and JAG, so he's got some experience his own self. And he certainly has become a faithful Trump lapdog. So he was my first guess.

(622 posts)Why in the world doesn't Sessions resign? At least he could go out with a shred of pride (not that I like the guy), instead of the sting if being fired. I would have been gone long ago, once Assface started bad mouthing me like he always does.

(4,947 posts)It is obvious he has been "talked to". His swift about face and total support of the orange pustule is curious to say the least. We all know, although it is not widely reported, that putin got the RNC emails and possible much more.

(14,178 posts)There's the rub.
Graham, the weasel, left himself an out.
Its what the President wants. Who is he to go against that? Any Trump humper can be sworn in as he lies about shutting down Mueller. And then watch Graham act all incredulous as the new AG orders the investigation stopped. (But then shrugs and walks away)
