Trump Connects Decision to Revoke Brennan Clearance to Russia 'Witch Hunt' in WSJ Interview

Source: Mediate

by Josh Feldman | Aug 15th, 2018, 10:47 pm

Earlier tonight we reported on President Donald Trump sounding off to the Wall Street Journal on his decision to revoke John Brennan‘s security clearance. Well, it turns out there was a little more to it.

For as the Journal reports tonight, the President “drew a direct connection” between his decision and the ongoing Russia “witch hunt”:

In an interview Wednesday, Mr. Trump cited Mr. Brennan as among those he held responsible for the investigation…

“I call it the rigged witch hunt, [it] is a sham,” Mr. Trump said in an interview. “And these people led it!”

He added: “So I think it’s something that had to be done.”

Trump Says His Campaigning Will Make the Difference

August 16, 2018 at 8:04 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

President Trump told the Wall Street Journal that he expects Republicans to do “great” in the midterms and that he’ll be a difference-maker this fall by campaigning for candidates.

Said Trump: “As long as I can get out and campaign, I think they’re going to win, I really do. It’s a lot of work for me. I have to make 50 stops, it’s a lot. So, there aren’t a lot of people that can do that, physically. Fortunately, I have no problem with that.”

Asked if his campaign appearances might also mobilize Democratic voters, Mr. Trump said: “It may. But it energizes my people much more than it energizes them. I think the Democrats give up when I turn out. If you want to know the truth, I don’t think it energizes them. I think it de-energizes them. I think they give up when I turn out.”

to him, in his own fantasy land that lies between his ears, he is the answer to the world's problems.

Actually, he is an arrogantly stupid fucking moron. The leader of the most corrupt and incompetent "administration" this country has seen. His family, his administration and everyone else around him are all the same.
I just hope that this country will survive and overcome this idiot.
Come on November!!

So, it's your obligation to end it all by agreeing to testify under oath on live TV and clear everything right up.

I'll volunteer to help with the realtime fact checking.

ASHINGTON — Two weeks before his inauguration, Donald J. Trump was shown highly classified intelligence indicating that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia had personally ordered complex cyberattacks to sway the 2016 American election.

The evidence included texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to Mr. Putin, who had described to the C.I.A. how the Kremlin decided to execute its campaign of hacking and disinformation.

The Jan. 6, 2017, meeting, held at Trump Tower, was a prime example. He was briefed that day by John O. Brennan, the C.I.A. director; James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence; and Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency and the commander of United States Cyber Command.

After the briefings, Mr. Trump issued a statement later that day that sought to spread the blame for the meddling. He said “Russia, China and other countries, outside groups and countries” were launching cyberattacks against American government, businesses and political organizations — including the D.N.C.

What is the power of the presidency for, if not to finally get revenge on all your enemies?

When will the Washington Republicans have enough of their shared "useful idiot?"

Putin has got to be getting frustrated - the emphasis wasn't supposed to be on "idiot."
