New Virginia Poll: Tim Kaine Up 23 Points; Dems Up 19 Points for Control of Congress

In a brand-new poll out today, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) leads far-right Republican Corey Stewart by 23 points (49%-26%), with only 66% of Republican supporting Stewart, while 88% of Democrats support Kaine. Independents split more than 2:1 in favor of Kaine. As for who Virginia voters prefer to control Congress, it’s a 19-point margin (51%-32%) for the Democrats, with Independents breaking nearly 2:1 for the “blue team” this cycle in Virginia.

The national generic poll might not show as much but taking the entire virginia delegation would be incredible.

8. What's surprising in this poll, but fairly believable upon reflection...

Is that VA-09 (Southwest) may be easier to flip than VA-06 (Northwest). Both are going to be longshot, very uphill slogs, but the sense of it I'm getting is that Anthony Flaccavento (the Dem candidate in VA-09) has put together a very solid campaign down here. VA-09 actually used to be represented by a popular Dem, Rich Boucher up until the Republican wave of 2010, and he recently came out of political retirement to do some events with Flaccavento recently. It also helps that VA-09 is adjacent to WV-03, with Ojeda's superb Dem campaign there as well...

Unfortunately, Jennifer Lewis in VA-06 is the most underfunded Dem candidate in the state, which I think is hurting her visibility some...

Those people who continue to vote for republicans are morally and ethically DEAD. They lack the American spirit to stand UP and fight the RE-THUGS, who are morally corrupt and lack any ethics. The conservative group which makes up 30% of America would rather KILL America versus help America to a BETTER future.
