White House shuts down press availability and says Trump wont leave White House after tweet admits collusion
DAVID EDWARDS
06 AUG 2018 AT 11:25 ET
The White House announced on Monday that President Donald Trump would not be leaving the White House and would not take any questions after he admitted on Twitter that his son may have colluded with Russians during the 2016 campaign.
In a tweet over the weekend, Trump reversed course on his explanation of 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower. The president had originally claimed that the meeting had been about adoptions. But in his Sunday tweet, Trump admitted that the purpose of the meeting had been to get damaging information about Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic nominee.
On Monday, NBCs Peter Alexander reported that the White House had issued a lid on presidential travel and questions from the press.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also had not scheduled a Monday briefing by the time of publication.

Loudoun County is home to both the Howard Hughes Institute, which engages in medical research, and the Trump National Golf Resort, which tried to throw recreational boaters off the Potomac River whenever Trump was there. The woman who gave him the finger as his motorcade went by lost her job.
I'd say Howard Hughes was a far more decent person than any manifestation by which history will recall Donald Trump..
Anyone who gave us the Constellation is A-okay in my book. Straight guys will throw Jane Russell into the list of "great things Howard Hughes brought us," but I wouldn't know.

Trump has been even more outrageous in the last few weeks (since Helsinki?), telling lie after lie. Maybe someone finally took away his Twitter machine and he had a stroke over it. And, is he even in the WH? I thought he headed to New Jersey last week for a couple of weeks of R&R. Easy to say he wont be leaving the WH if hes not even there.

(5,810 posts)bully, but we all know who he is and what he is. Their are specific psychiatric terms to label him and his behavior, but as lay people, we dont really need to know them to recognize a bully who is a sniveling little coward inside. He cannot and will not face the scrutiny and legitimate inquiry by the press after he admitted what went on at tRump Tower in June 2016 and his part in trying to cover it up. So he just hides away and sulks in self imposed isolation except for his beloved mouth piece, Twitter. His deluded wish is that if he ducks and lays low for a few days, it will all blow over and that story will be in his past. FAT CHANCE. But that really is how he thinks.
Please Press Corps, do not let this slip off into the ether without hounding him relentlessly about what he knows about that meeting. Show him no mercy just like he has shown no mercy to people he perceived as enemies. With any luck he will get so mad and full of rage by your persistence, he will keel over on live TV, giving all of us the relief weve been hoping wed get from this hideous monster posing as a human.

Question is though how far up in the Repugant party does this really go? I mean we had Mitch and Ryan as well as other Repugant leaders stonewalling anything to do with informing the public about what the Russians were doing as well as trying to stonewall and kill the Mueller investigation so that makes me wonder if they were involved as well.

(70,558 posts):https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/story-of-the-scene-the-godfather-1972-870492.html
About 50 minutes into The Godfather, just after the "sleeps with the fishes" scene, Mafia henchmen Clemenza and Rocco get into a car with Paulie. They intend to kill him.
Clemenza, played by the Bronx-born actor Richard S Castellano, claims that they are going to look for "mattresses" (safe houses) and directs Paulie to drive to "309 West 43rd Street". The remarks about cannoli (pastries) that begin and end the scene have become as famous as anything in The Godfather.
The scene where Paulie gets popped begins with Clemenza leaving his house and his wife shouting: "Don't forget the cannoli" a last-minute dialogue addition from director Francis Ford Coppola. There follows a montage of stock footage of period New York, and then a shot of the car driving in the countryside beyond New York. Clemenza asks to pull over to take "a leak". In the distance pokes the Statue of Liberty.
Three shots are fired by Rocco into Paulie's head. As Rocco gets out the car, Clemenza says: "Leave the gun take the cannoli." He takes the food as Paulie lies slumped against the steering wheel. Coppola gave all credit to the actor in later years: "Richie improvised the line," he said.
