Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress who has made headlines for an alleged affair with Donald Trump, was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, according to her attorney.

Michael Avenatti, who has represented Daniels, delivered the message in a Twitter post in the earlier hours of Thursday ET. In that tweet, the attorney made claims of political motivations, and said "it reeks of desperation."

First, there’d have to be communications from Trump to the local authorities to make this happen. Knowing he’s under investigation, i seriously doubt he’d risk it for an insignificant misdemeanor charge like this.
