Finns dislike Trump even more than they dislike Putin
Source: Finnish magazine Seura
Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are set to meet in Helsinki on Monday 16th of July. A new survey commissioned by Finnish magazine Seura illustrates that neither one of the leaders is liked here.
The results for Trump display an obvious lack of popularity. Only six percent of Finns describe their attitudes towards Trump as favorable. Respectively, the percentage of those with a negative viewpoint is 83.
Putin also received a generally miserable appraisal: three out of four Finns (76%) position Putin as a negative figure. What remarkably differs between the attitudes of Finnish people is a reasonably negative standpoint towards the leader of Russia, but a highly negative stance towards Trump.
On the day of the meeting, a group of activists will participate in a Helsinki Calling march. The purpose of the demonstration is to support human rights, democracy, peace and environmental work.

Finland is a peaceful country, known for its commitment to multilateral co-operation and peace. We will gather together to demonstrate that we in Finland are on the side of human rights, democracy, peace, environment and climate action. We will not close our eyes, nor will we be silent.

I'm hoping Cheeto's plane goes down, north of the Arctic Circle.

(1,832 posts)... and have their own indigenous population of "brown people". But since racist minds expect brown people to be the most dangerous, be informed that statistics tells a different story:
The largest number of terror attacks in the EU were carried out by ethno-nationalist and separatist extremists (99).
Attacks carried out by left-wing violent extremists have been on the rise since 2014; they reached a total of 27 in 2016.
The number of jihadist terrorist attacks decreased from 17 in 2015 to 13 in 2016, of which 6 were linked to the so-called Islamic State (IS).

A bit of translation: Ethno-nationalist and separatist extremists are mainly weird white Christians fighting about borders and such. This trend is about the same in the United States, and the risk of being killed in traffic accidents are way higher than any kind of terrorism.

(5 posts)How do you gauge total hatred for these two men. Both get a 10 out of 10 on the hatred meter.
You have Putin's dirty, murdering, criminal hands in everyone's business and you have Don the
Terrible who is hell bent on destroying this country and the world for that matter. The
thing that instills absolute terror in me, is that neither one of these men have a heart, a soul, or a
molecule of empathy for anyone other than themselves. They are very very dangerous men who
will damage this planet beyond repair. And where do they think they are going to go to escape all
this damage. Is there a magic island somewhere they own that has clean water, air, food, free energy,
universal health care?? Maybe that's where all the lost Pentagon money went. It is just total insanity
fueled by greed and power.
