Trump Claims Melania's Jacket Was About 'The Fake News Media': She Knows 'How Dishonest They Are'

Source: Mediate

by Josh Feldman | 6:03 pm, June 21st, 2018

Earlier today, First Lady Melania Trump was spotted wearing a jacket saying “I DON’T REALLY CARE DO U” en route to visit detained migrant children. It was a curious choice and it’s unclear why she wore it in the first place, but as a spokeswoman for the First Lady insisted, there was no “hidden message.”

Well, no one apparently told the President:

Yes, President Trump is claiming that the First Lady’s jacket was really a statement about the “Fake News Media,” tweeting, “Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!”

So… there was a hidden message?

she does not care. After all, a woman with nude photos available worldwide, living in the WH, addressed as "First Lady", what a joke on us all. Before meeting tRump, she was a two-bit whore, thought she hit the jackpot then discovered that money cannot buy happiness. In her particular case, it bought a whole boatload of misery. So, now she is letting everyone know, she does not care. At least her latest facelift has settled down, her eyes are almost back to looking slightly Asian, instead of full blown Asian.

I really do not now why people keep claiming Melanie has any different politics than her husband She was always just as much a "birther" hater as him and has never shown any distinction from his materialistic, narcissistic, racist politics since.

I wish more headlines, chyrons, would read 'trump claims . . . ' , instead of letting trump lies go unchallenged, or more quietly undermined later. [much more quietly than trumps loud, bellicose lies].

of children kidnapped by her authoritarian husband and his fellow evil-doers, the message of "I don't really care, do U" cannot be ambiguous. It refers to this atrocity and is a rallying cry for the party to support their leader no matter what he does.

Melania once said she has political views but that no one would ever know what they were. She spoke out just a couple days ago, weakly, against this policy and then this. I have real doubts about both the strength of her views and if even she knows what they are.

Door is open, however, for the possibility that she is genuinely afraid of what he could and would do to her, and her son, if she didn't fall in line. He has frequently been cruel to his children, which she would know far more about than us. He also once tried to blackmail Ivana with a threat to take Jr. away from her. She called his bluff by telling him fine, she had two others to raise, and that was apparently the end of that. Melania, of course, only has one child.

I'm actually on Melania's side on this. Her motives may be misunderstood. I think the message on that coat was personal and sarcastic and directed to her husband. Maybe that's why he was so quick to deflect it with his own pr bs. They are already separated. She probably hasn't even spoken to him in months. The only time she did was to tell him off.
Obvious he never asked her. Message meant for him.

It didn't occur to her that her "private" message would definitely be viewed (and could possibly get misinterpreted) by the public? And what was there to be sarcastic about -- her pretense about caring for the kids she was visiting or her state of her marriage? If that's the case, she's even less qualified for the position she holds than her husband.

No one else from this administration went down there. She hates her husband. That's clear. They're effectively separated. It was 100% her idea. She was outraged. The message of not caring was probably not about the media, as Trump pathetically tried to coop it, but about her husband, the Abuser in Chief. She's an immigrant too, a mother, a prisoner. I give her some credit.

It was politically idiotic

I'm sure Trump and his inner circle of nazis thought it was clever though. That it would speak to their base directly on how they should really feel.

But I can't get my head around Melania doing this on purpose. Someone that just started a first lady campaign aimed at young people and kids to 'be best' has that kind of blithe ignorance and lack of awareness to how she would come off leaving to see if children are cared for properly, wearing a slogan that say's she doesn't care.

I really don't know if she is just that stupid, or just that evil.

...she wore it to point out how ludicrous the media are in their judgement of what any woman in a position of power wears. I certainly don't care about the details about what someone is wearing, nor should (or do) real journalists. Anyone in the NEWS media who calls out what a woman is wearing to try and besmirch them, as long as what they are wearing isn't pasties and thongs, should be chastised for failing to do their job. Think about how they harassed Hillary about her pant suits (or even Condoleeza Rice, for that matter). If what they are wearing is comfortable and not offensive, shut up about it. Nobody should care as long as it is functional and doesn't interfere with what they are trying to accomplish.
