Melania Trump wears jacket to Texas with pointed message: 'I really don't care, do u?'

On Thursday, Melania Trump made a surprise visit to the Texas border near Mexico. The first lady, whose stylish outfits tend to draw more attention than her actions, seemingly made a conscious decision to wear a subtle outfit for the trip. For a tour of Upbring New Hope, a housing facility for children aged 12 to 17, as well as other meetings throughout McAllen, she wore white jeans, a khaki shirt, and white Stan Smith sneakers.

However, her casual look still managed to make a major statement. To exit the car and head to the plane, FLOTUS wore a green hooded jacket. And, according to the Daily Mail, the item features graffiti on the back that reads “I really don’t care, do u?”

While the jacket is currently unavailable, the publication reports that the military-style coat originally retailed for $39.

Melania was angry that Donald and/or his team of handlers made her take time out of her precious day to fly down to Texas and meet with some dirty little immigrant kids, so she sabotaged the PR moment by wearing the jacket.

Of course, it makes Melania look just as crass and craven as her husband, but I really don't care about her.

Why would someone ostensibly posing at the First Lady of the United States have a jacket that says she "doesn't care"? Her JOB is to care. It's really the only thing we can reasonably expect of a First Lady, whether or not she accomplishes what she'd like to do.

No FLOTUS should be wearing something that would be more appropriate for Scary Spice back in the 90s.
