Fox News ripped for misleading photos of Philadelphia Eagles players kneeling

Fox News apologized Tuesday after receiving a torrent of criticism over the network's use of photos of various players for the Philadelphia Eagles kneeling in prayer, creating the misleading impression that they were demonstrating during the national anthem.

The photos ran during a segment on Monday night, after President Trump announced that he had uninvited the reigning Super Bowl champions from a traditional visit to the White House. As Fox News anchor Shannon Bream explained Trump's decision, which he attributed to the anthem protests that have roiled the league, photos of Eagles players kneeling in prayer were shown on screen.

One of the players pictured, Eagles tight end Zach Ertz, forcefully denounced the network in a tweet on Tuesday morning. "This can't be serious.... Praying before games with my teammates, well before the anthem, is being used for your propaganda?! Just sad, I feel like you guys should have to be better than this...," Ertz said.

Christopher Wallace, the executive producer of Bream's program, issued an apology for the error on Tuesday.

It is another in thousands of "dirty tricks" they have used for the last fifty years to smear people. They are nothing more than assassins who would stab you in the back.

In an interview this morning with one of the players, he mentioned the misleading photos by fox. Hallie Jackson quickly interrupted him and said "let's leave Fox out of this."

We can't leave Fox out of this. They are responsible for most if not all of the division in this country and it's not accidental. Who was it that said that Nixon would not have resigned if fox had been around during his presidency? That person gets it.

Nixon's lead propagandist, who was the brains behind Fox "News" to begin with.

It's as if, seeing one Republican tyrant wannabe forced to resign, the GOP fixers decided never to let it happen again.

"praying", for the (fake) evangelical-humping crowd who continually encourage people to do such, is suddenly manufactured into something else. Faux makes sure to find every which way to put their 2 left feet in their sewer hole mouth to manufacture outrage. And it boomerangs right back at them every time.

And Ertz was right - Faux snooze IS PROPAGANDA. Pure and unadulterated. His tweet -

Fox News aired images of Philadelphia Eagles players kneeling — but not during anthem

Fox News apparently was unable to distinguish between a pregame prayer and a player protest during the national anthem. Could happen to anyone, sure. Or maybe it’s just that the fair-and-balanced network didn’t let facts get in the way of the image it wished to air.

Either way, it did not go over well with fans and players:

...snip...

Fox News on Tuesday apologized for the “error,” saying in a statement that “we showed unrelated footage of players kneeling in prayer” and acknowledging that “no members of the team knelt in protest during the national anthem throughout regular or post-season last year.”

They know that their brain dead followers have gotten the message and it will stick. Hell, due directly to their propaganda 70% of the Republicans still believe that Obama isn't a citizen as well as the majority believe that he is a Muslim. Hell, Trumps Secretary of State, Pompeo, said that Obama is a Muslim and filthy Communist. I really don't know if this country can be redeemed. Its probably too damn late.
