Charlottesville Hate Marcher Elected by Republican Party

Source: The Daily Beast

An affiliate of a “pro-white” group who marched in Charlottesville last year was elected to a Republican Party post in Washington state last week, part of his campaign to take over the GOP for the alt-right.

James Allsup, 22, attended the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where white supremacists chanted anti-Semitic slogans and one allegedly drove a car into a crowd, killing a protester and injuring more. Allsup was filmed marching with Identity Evropa, an anti-immigrant alt-right group. Fallout over the rally led to Allsup stepping down as president of the Washington State University College Republicans, a group he once boasted of taking over. Now he claims he’s on the way to taking over the local GOP.

Immediately after his election Allsup said he was attending a Spokane GOP dinner headlined by former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (who did not return The Daily Beast’s request for comment), and claimed he or an associate were scheduled for a private meeting with an unnamed congressperson.

On June 2, Allsup posted a picture of a certificate on Facebook. “As of today I am officially an elected official in the state of Washington and Republican party,” he wrote. “Cool!”

an overall plan by wypipo to further the racist national agenda of trump and people in his administration. drip, drip, drip. This time is a very ugly juncture in ameriKKKan history, drip, drip, drip...we know this won't stop this racist state and nation from incarcerating as many AA's as possible for possessing one joint or facing trumped(no pun intended)up charges brought by a racist state and throughout this nation. Fuck off trump and all the rest supporting hypocrisy in ameriKKKa.

We really need to start playing with the social construction of race. White people coming out against Wypipo racists and hypocrites, how can we make this happen?

I live in Portland, OR. We basically think of anything east of the Cascades as being Idaho-stupid and racist.

Just like when I lived in Miami. We thought of everything north of Palm Beach as Southern GA.

his position is as a precinct committee officer. Not the highest ranking member of any party.

At a busy or disorganized meeting, it's often easy to 'sneak in the back door' so to speak.

extremist views and aggression by far right, white, anti immigrant fundamentalist Christian individuals and groups, there are still so many GOP supporters, people in politics and media commenters who are not of white, Christian heritage, and are of more recent immigrant background.

Not the alt right, Identity Evropa man in the article whose background I don't know.
But others in the US that are partly or full Asian, Hispanic, African American, Muslim and Jewish background. Not to mention women. The Republican Party's conservatism, economic values and pro business and anti regulation views must be the main appeal. I don't know for sure or how they rationalize what's taking place.

Included are Americans who voted for Trump that the media interviews, and well known national and state level Republicans like Grover Norquist whose wife is Palestinian and Muslim, Mitch McConnell's Asian wife, Ben Carson, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, an Indian Sikh woman in CA who's running for office that I just read about, and Democrat Susan Rice's son at Stanford who's with the activist college Republicans group.
