Al Qaeda calls for death of Navy SEAL who authored book on bin Laden mission
Source: CBS
Al Qaeda has wasted no time in calling for the death of the former Navy SEAL who has written a book under a pseudonym which his publisher Dutton calls a first person account of the death of Osama bin Laden.
A jihadist forum, al-Fidaa, located in Malaysia, posted the death calls and provided the author's name and photograph under a headline titled "First Image of One of the Dogs who killed Bin Laden." Dogs are considered unclean in Islam.
Al-Fidaa, which is also used by al Qaeda to recruit suicide bombers, posted comments by one member, Abu (son of, in Arabic) Dujanah al-Kinani, warning that the "lion's cubs," the mujahedeen (holy warriors), are now waiting for the right time to avenge bin laden's death. Usama means "lion" in Arabic. Ayman al-Zawahiri, the new leader of al-Qaeda has called bin Laden, "the lion of Islam." Jihadi online forums sometimes refer to Bin Laden as the "Lion of the Holy Jihad."
One posting on al-Fidaa called on Allah to kill the author sooner or later. Another member, in the thread, called on God to "make him a living example and let us witness his dark day."

Holy F#ck. Check out what Fox News editor John Moody had to say about revealing Mark Owen's real name:
Fox News executive editor John Moody said, "Once you write a book, anonymously or not, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy."

They are frickin livid. On top of that, I found out that the author has recently moved meaning that someone will look him up and attack a family that had nothing to do with it

(3,626 posts)that you don't expect a dog to behave like anything other than a dog. Or expect a kangaroo to act like a goldfish. We don't expect AQ to behave like anything other than what they are. We could hope that Faux would have the integrity to not put lives in danger, but I guess the scoop is more important. We expect SEALs to not cash in on their escapades (no matter where the money is actually going), particularly when it puts themselves, their families and those of their teammates in serious jeopardy.

Fox knew exactly what they were doing - basically delivering this author to Al Queda in hopes of an even greater news story.
That's about as disgusting as it gets.
I do believe that network may have just jumped the shark - especially among their conservative military viewership.

(3,655 posts)Nothing happened when they outed the supposed terrorist sympathiser living in the US. The guy no longer lived there and an innocent family got terrorized by Fox watched loons. The same thing might happen here because the guy who wrote the book just moved. Some innocent family who bought his house may get a visit by someone looking to get back at the guy.

No doubt FOX is very proud of itself.
This carp should cause all Americans to turn away from FOX--even the mouth-breathers--but of course it won't.
I think there should be some sort of legal penalty against FOX for revealing such information and thus putting this man and others into real danger.
On edit: Of course FOX won't lose viewers or get legally swatted, because as always IOKIYAR.

(Remember what they did to Dan Rather who tried to tell the truth about Dumbya (whose name means "dumbya" in Texan).)
The reporter, a "CBS terrorism consultant," wrote a book entitled, "Captive, My Time As a Prisoner of the Taliban," and lived to tell us what the name "Abu" means?
(Cuz, if you don't know what the name "Abu" means, you might mistake it for Kristin Lavransdatter and think--quite wrongly, of course--that the Norwegians are putting out disinformation.)
Since the CIA* probably created the web site, and certainly created Al Qaeda in the first place, they would not only know what's on Al Qaeda's mind, they would be the first to tell us all about it?
( )
Cuz Al Qaeda (which means "lucrative contracts on the taxpayer's dime" in medieval Arabic) telegraphs their really important terrorist plots on web sites, we need to "stay tuned" (which we used to say in the Pre-Internets Era, when we had to "not touch that dial" to "stay tuned" for "news at 11" (or, more thrilling, "we interrupt this broadcast..." to find out what's really going on in our world?
(But that doesn't make sense (Alice said). Why don't we just go to the Al Q web site and make our travel plans accordingly?)
---
*I use the name "CIA" (which means "Central Intelligence Agency" generically. God knows who's really passing things off to CBS (which means "Colombia Broadcasting..."--I had to look it up--System" , among the many new secret national, quasi-national, quasi-private, private, deeply private, supra-national (etc.) disinformation agencies and entities spawned by Dumbya and his junta (Dumbya means Dumbya in Texan; junta means junta en espanol). Speaking of espanol, the CIA used to help dump the bodies of leftists into the Pacific Ocean off South America, so that nobody would know what happened to them. Although today, the CIA or local affiliates are more into cutting the heads off of leftists and leaving their decapitated body in the road as a "lesson" to all--as occurred in the recent coup d'etat in Honduras--cuz they're having such a hard time controlling their backyard, these days, and they want people to know what happened to the body--the CIA, or a Clone of the CIA, may have reverted to type, in the case of Osama bin Laden (which means "lucrative contracts on the taxpayer's dime" en espanol) and thus, we really, really don't know whose body got dumped into the Pacific Ocean in this case, or what the hell happened. (I have my theories. Just ask.))
