or does he pull an Alan Alda from WEST WING and just stand there and answer every question with his crazy talk until the reporters go home?

(31 posts)hey can drop out before Sept 25 and the R can put up a new candiditate. BUT if hes going to drop out he needs to do it soon cause absentee ballots and the cost of keeping this moron on the ballot has to be paid for by him. BUT thru a court order he can do it and republicans in missouri can name a replacement.
IF he doesnt drop out.. then the only option is a write in.. which will split the vote 3 ways and the R are fucked.

(6,921 posts)He knows that he is in the mainstream of Rethuglican thought. They will pretend for a while that they've cut him loose, but will secretly begin to funnel money to him. The Rethuglican party is a cult and will stasnd by it's true believers.

...and hopes to campaign with them when they come to Missouri.

(32,064 posts)I checked Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections_in_Missouri,_2012#District_2) and am glad to know that Akin actually is not running for re-election as he is challenging McCaskill. The (D) candidate for MO-2 is named Harold Whitfield, a local judge, attorney, and local government commission member.
As for Akin, I say let his reputation keep crumbling.
