Judge in Stormy Daniels lawsuit orders 90-day stay, citing 'overlap' with criminal case
Source: The Hill
The judge presiding over Stormy Daniels' lawsuit against President Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen has delayed the case for 90 days.
Cohen requested the stay after he invoked his Fifth Amendment right, saying that the longtime he could not effectively defend himself against Daniels' lawsuit, because it incriminate him in a separate federal investigation.
U.S. District Judge S. James Otero apparently agreed with that argument, and pushed the hearing to July 27, The Associated Press reported.
Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti said that he and his client disagreed with Otero's decision and planned to file an appeal with the San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

(11,885 posts)As a lot more information against Cohen and trump gets exposed on their criminal activities, and may show Cohen was involved with more playboy women, and women trump paid off , and maybe has a kid with, or forced women to get abortions, and this may backfire on Cohen and trump badly. As information from the Cohen raid provides more damming information against him and trump, they'll be in worse shape from what they've done, and her lawyer will just have more ammunition against them. The more found , the more likely hood they'll both be brought down, and i think this is a watershed moment because they can't stop it now, or destroy all their information from Cohen's raids. Very exposed, and many others must be very nervous they'll be exposed too.
