Vice President Mike Pence in Milwaukee to tout tax cut, raise cash for Scott Walker

Vice President Mike Pence heads to Milwaukee Wednesday afternoon in a bid to bolster public support for the Republican tax overhaul and raise campaign cash for Gov. Scott Walker.
Pence is due to arrive at Mitchell International Airport and speak at an event sponsored by America First Policies, a pro-Donald Trump group.

In an opinion piece in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Pence previewed the message he'll be bringing to Wisconsin. He wrote: "Tax Day next year should be much less painful, because President Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and all of Wisconsins Republicans in Congress enacted the largest tax cut and tax reform in American history."

State Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee) said the Pence appearance in Milwaukee showed that Republicans are trying "to get donations" from the tax cuts.
"Paul Ryan, a week after giving this huge tax break to the rich, he was able to get a half-million dollars to his PAC," Larson said of the $500,000 donation by industrialist Charles Koch and his wife to the House speaker's joint fundraising committee.................................
