Close friend of man killed in Trump Tower fire says President once called victim 'crazy Jew'

Todd Brassner, a 67-year-old art dealer who lost his life Saturday in the Trump Tower fire, despised building owner Donald Trump, a friend of the victim told the Daily News. The feeling was evidently mutual, with now-President Trump allegedly calling Brassner a “crazy Jew” soon after the art dealer moved into the Fifth Ave. high-rise more than two decades ago, Brassner pal Patrick Goldsmith said Sunday.

A fellow art dealer, Goldsmith said he heard the vile remark in 1996 as he entered the building and passed by the exiting Trump. Goldsmith, who like Brassner opposes the President, took the opportunity to glance at Trump’s petite hands — which gained notoriety in the late 1980s and suffered another wave of scrutiny during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump reportedly became enraged when he caught Goldsmith staring and demanded the gawker’s identity from his doorman, Goldsmith said. The doorman said Goldsmith was headed to the 50th floor to see Brassner.

“Oh, that crazy Jew?” Trump asked, according to Goldsmith.

The article goes on to explain that Brassner laughed this off when he heard about it. But he'd had problems with Trump, including a complaint about an overflowing sink in his apartment.

The article also quotes Brassner friend Rachel Cain, who said Brassner hated living at Trump Tower (but hadn't been able to sell his apartment), and that he considered Trump a disaster for our country -- "a horrible, lowlife human being" in Cain's words, recalling what Brassner had said.

This meshes with some tweets I've seen with screen shots from one of Brassner's Facebook accounts in which he agreed with George Will calling Trump a "bloviating ignoramus" in 2012, and adds that Will was "too kind to the schmuck."

Biggest bunch of delusional friggin' freaks I think I've ever seen. Those people will instantly seize upon literally ANY conspiracy that ANY of their collective brain trust manages to barf up into their discourse, as long as it's Pro-Dump and/or Anti-Liberal. Facts and logic mean absolutely nothing in their worlds.

Just for ONE thing that makes no sense (and there's about 20 more I could rattle off easily), if the need to get rid of this 'evidence' was so friggin' urgent that the FBI is willing to commit arson and murder, why the F*** did they wait almost 1.5 YEARS to go in and get rid of it? I mean how friggin' difficult is it to realize their little 'theory' ... makes zero sense?

It's going to get even more hilarious when FDNY investigates and discovers that the dude fell asleep w/a lit cig, or left the stove on, or, even more likely, Dump's lack of proper maintenance on his 'very well-built building' caused a gas leak or electrical fire or something like that ... and they start whining 'ZOMG PEOPLE the Deep State has gotten to the FDNY! After all, mere multimillionaire's lives are not worth sprinkler systems in residential buildings, even after 20 years.

I hope tRump gets sued for costs and damages that exceed the cost of putting sprinklers in the building residences and that he is forced to actually pay.
