Trump fought against fitting of sprinklers in apartment where man died

Property mogul spoke against retrofitting of sprinklers in Trump Tower as unnecessary and expensive

Associated Press

The 50th-floor apartment in Trump Tower where a man was killed in a fire on Saturday did not have sprinklers – the requirement of which Donald Trump fought against in the 1990s.

Todd Brassner, 67, died at a hospital on Saturday after a fire ripped through his apartment in the high-rise, which opened in 1983 at a time when building codes did not require the residential section to have sprinklers.

Subsequent updates to the codes required commercial skyscrapers to install sprinklers retroactively, but owners of older residential high-rises are not required to install them unless the building undergoes major renovations.

Some fire safety advocates pushed for a requirement that older apartment buildings be retrofitted with sprinklers when the city passed a law requiring them in new residential high-rises in 1999, but officials in the administration of then-mayor Rudolph Giuliani said that would be too expensive.

living in a building without a sprinkler.

Trump is still liable for Brassner's wrongful death.

3. According to the wingnuts, Mueller himself personally set the fire in the dudes apartment ...

You know, to have an excuse to clear the building so he could have agents go into Trump's apartment and rummage for documents, and to clean up the surveillance equipment used to 'wiretap' Trump Tower.

Nevermind the like 50 reasons I can think of off the top of my head why such a flagrantly looney-tunes conspiracy theory makes ZERO sense, and could only be imagined by utterly brainwashed, knuckle-dragging cult members.

And they think we have a whacky conspiracy theory about Trump being involved with Russians to win in 2016 ... as if that's EQUALLY as unlikely as former FBI Director and Special Council Mueller setting fire to apartments in Trump Tower and murdering residents so they can break into the PRESIDENTS HOME and steal shit and cover tracks ... that would have been just SITTING THERE for the past 1.5 years. They were just 'waiting for the right moment', you see ... Alex Jones was probably hot on the trail, forcing Mueller to finally act. LOLOLOLOL.

Oh, and they also apparently want to kill all us libtards for conspiring with the Deep State/Globalists to take their guns away, turn us into a Caliphate, and depose Dear Leader ... and of COURSE, this Trump Tower fire is just even MORE proof ... of us Leftist's evil ambitions.

Fucking morons. How do they even function in real life? I honestly have no idea.

It happened at a high rise with seniors. 5 died. 10 were injured. No sprinklers. Grandfathered.
High rise was built in the 60s or early 70s

60 survivors sued and won a settlement because some of the fire alarms were not working properly. They also sued a company that was painting the complex.

so the other repubs will all hang together and say "it's ok." No need for responsibility, ethics or morality. republicans don't do those things.
