Nevada's GOP governor: Border duty not 'an appropriate use' of National Guard

Nevadas GOP governor has come out against President Trumps plan to send the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border.
A spokeswoman for Gov. Brian Sandoval said in an email to The Associated Press Friday that Sandoval doesnt believe deploying members to the border would be an appropriate use of the National Guard.

(13,081 posts)Sandoval is term limited out and has made serious appearances at being moderate. He speaks Spanish and, before being governor, was a federal judge. Plus Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson both like the guy.
The presidential bid has been obvious for a year or two now.
