Helicopter crashes into East River in New York.

A helicopter went down into the East River in New York on Sunday night at around 7 p.m.

According to CBS New York, the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash of a Eurocopter AS350. It went down near the northern end of Roosevelt Island and is upside down.

The National Transportation Safety Board is going on scene as rescue efforts are underway.

... condition. It appears that they were rescued from underwater. The pilot got out before the helicopter sank and is unharmed.

It was a charter for some kind of photo-shoot.
