New York and Virginia Court Delta Following Backlash From Georgia Republicans

Georgia Republicans are threatening to withhold a hefty tax break for the airline because it ended a travel discount for the NRA. Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle said corporations "cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back."

Democrats in other states responded Tuesday by publicly wooing Delta.

"Virginia is for lovers and airline hubs," Virginia Governor Ralph Northam said on Twitter. "You're welcome here any time."

"NY is open for business," added Kathy Hochul, the lieutenant governor of New York. "Move HQ to where you're appreciated?"

1. Uh oh. Have a family member who flies out of Atlanta via Delta a lot. Incredible number of miles

Europe and Asia probably at least twice a month. Delta top club (whatever its called) member. His contract requires he live near a major airline hub. Big money job.

He's also an incredible outdoorsman (hunting and fishing), very conservative, but NOT an NRA member - he thinks they are nuts.

2. I do not see Delta moving north however they could move the hub and headquarters to Birmingham or

Nashville and still be in the same relative area and thereby providing the same appeal to travelers.

the airline is important to their local economy. Let's see how many jobs are gone as a result of Delta relocating its hub if it comes to that.
