Stacey Dash files to run for Congress

Source: The Hill

Actress and conservative commentator Stacey Dash filed paperwork Monday to officially run for a congressional seat in California.

The “Clueless” star filed campaign documents with the Federal Election Commission under the slogan "Dash to DC" that show she will run as a Republican in California’s 44th Congressional District. Rep. Nanette Barragán (D-Calif.) currently represents the district.

The congressional district contains the cities of Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach, and has been represented by a Democrat since the 2012 election.

The district overwhelmingly voted for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race.

She has been on the wingnut welfare gravy train for a long time.

Type her name in the search box to the upper right and you will see dozens of posts referring to her.

see what kind of support a black REPUBLICAN conservative draws.

CNN Politics: The 51-year-old, who wrote a memoir called "There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative," has been a polarizing figure since she made the transition from beloved 1990s actor to conservative pundit. She is known for taking controversial stances on issues affecting people of color.

In 2016, she called the #OscarsSoWhite boycott "ludicrous" and said there was no need for Black History Month. During the Oscars that same here, host Chris Rock jokingly brought Dash to the stage as the Academy's new director of "minority outreach program."

"I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy Black History Month," she giggled. "Thank you." She quickly exited the stage as silence fell over the audience.

What's the term for black conservatives who seem to have been born in the wrong skin?

what they think. For sure he's not a hostile conservative troublemaker who'd be at CPAC cheering Trump's description of immigrants as poisonous, murderous snakes if only white Repubs would tolerate his presence.

In our election here, she hasn't a snowballs chance in HELL to win a congressional seat here in California.

You might like Stacey Dash's voice, but that's not much of a qualification for public office. However, this is California so the incumbent Democrat has a definite advantage. Welcome to DU and keep asking questions!

BTW, here's Nanette Barragán:
