Exclusive: Trump privately talks up executing all big drug dealers

Source: Axios

In Singapore, the death penalty is mandatory for drug trafficking offenses. And President Trump loves it. He’s been telling friends for months that the country’s policy to execute drug traffickers is the reason its drug consumption rates are so low.

"He says that a lot," said a source who's spoken to Trump at length about the subject. "He says, 'When I ask the prime minister of Singapore do they have a drug problem [the prime minister replies,] 'No. Death penalty'."

But the president doesn't just joke about it. According to five sources who've spoken with Trump about the subject, he often leaps into a passionate speech about how drug dealers are as bad as serial killers and should all get the death penalty.

Trump tells confidants a softer approach to drug reform — the kind where you show sympathy to the offenders and give them more lenient sentences — will never work.

to execute a Big Pharma overlord myself. I went to fill a prescription, and was told it would cost $545 for a three week supply. Who the HELL is reaping the rewards for these prices? I told them my Social Security does not extend that much, if I want to keep my house, car and food I will have to slowly get better without these expensive pills. Orrin Hatch was one of the biggest recipients of big pharma payola. His son is a lobbyist for them, too.

we recently had a change in our insurance that necessitated a change in pharmacy (hate that part too but that's another rant). I was signed up for text alerts from the old pharmacy when my prescriptions were ready and during the switch-over they finished my regular order and texted me the notice and price. 4 prescriptions that cost me about 26 bucks with insurance cost over a thousand dollars without it. I don't like the new pharmacy but at least we're back to the 26 bucks.

....punishable by execution. They might not seem violent, but as we seen over the past 18 years stolen elections can cause such death, destruction, and misery not just here at home, but throughout the world as well that we have to make the integrity of elections an absolute in our society.

Plus make the right to vote absolute for anyone over the age of 16. Including incompetent, those in prison, and felons who have been released from custody. And if people don't want their candidates getting in, well there's a simple solution for that. Namely vote.

BTW, what's the cutoff for "big drug dealer"? Is it going to be based on average annual income or the amount of drugs you were caught with?

Sorry Donald, but this sounds like you're applying to be a dictator. The American people would be MORE than happy to pony up the money to haul you and your entire maladministration to a deserted island where you can dictate all you want, just so long as none of you ever come back to the US and the GOP is disbanded.

Anyway, here's a working URL: https://www.axios.com/exclusive-trump-privately-talks-up-executing-all-big-drug-dealers-1519595170-402cc386-8729-4684-a7ef-a5bf31876afa.html
