President Trumps policies are driving an economic turnaround that puts him in the company of transformative presidents such as John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, White House economists said Wednesday as they unveiled Trumps first Economic Report of the President.
The White House argues many Americans felt the country was on the wrong track, and Trump is already delivering a decidedly different economic vision that echoes the Reagan era.
In the report, Trumps team predicts 3 percent growth for years to come, a clear break from Barack Obamas years in office when growth hovered around 2 percent but short of the 4 percent growth Trump promised while campaigning.
Most independent economists are not nearly as optimistic that Trumps policies can deliver a decade of higher growth, especially with so many baby boomers retiring and the presidents desire to restrict immigration.

(50,559 posts)Reagans term was marred by two recessions, eleven tax increases, a huge stock market crash, and the government running out of money on September 15, 1988. Oh yeah, it also say the Mexicans add the word maquiladora to their language.

Neither of them has a single redeeming human quality, and neither of them deserved to hold this office.

(3,167 posts)Obama is the one who presided over an economic turnaround! The economy was growing and in great shape when Trump became President; it was in free-fall headed into the sewer when Obama took office. These people have no shame!
