VP Pence Hits Joy Behar and Mainstream Media For ‘Demeaning Terms’ About Faith: ‘I Just Couldn’t Stay Silent’

by Aidan McLaughlin | 8:43 am, February 19th, 2018

Vice President Mike Pence spoke out against Joy Behar yet again in an interview with Fox & Friends that aired Monday morning — after the View host mocked him for his religious beliefs.

Like far too many stories in 2018, this one starts with Omarosa: the former White House aide dished about Pence’s beliefs on Celebrity Big Brother, claiming the VP “thinks Jesus tells him to say things.”

-snip-

And in his Monday appearance on Fox & Friends, filmed at the Southern Border, Pence explained how he simply could not stay silent while the ladies of The View tarnished his faith.

“When I heard that ABC had a program that likened my Christianity to mental illness, I just couldn’t be silent. My Christian faith is probably the most important thing in my life,” Pence said. “To have ABC have a forum that spoke in such demeaning terms, I think it’s evidence of how out of touch some in the mainstream media are with the faith and values of the American people.”

Probably? PROBABLY? If that's the best you can do, Pence, then maybe you shouldn't be trying to unconstitutionally install your dementia as law in this DEMOCRACY.

Your brand of Xtianity sucks. It will always suck.

- Jesus said, be nice to each other.
- Jesus said, live a life of humbleness and poverty.
- One of the letters of the New Testament says that one should live their faith in private, not with boasting public displays how religious you are.
- Jesus never said a thing about homosexuality and the Old Testament treats the death of a fetus as a minor crime not comparable to the death of a person.

ETA: But they LOVE being "persecuted" for their self-absorbed "faith" - absolutely love taking every opportunity to whine about it, so they can remind everyone of their piety.

Behar even joking that believing God commands you to speak is a sign of “mental illness.”

Pence next pushed back on Behar in an interview with Axios, calling the comments “just wrong.”

How is it "just wrong" to suggest that a person that claims to hear voices from an invisible omnipotent creature telling you that you are doing His work, and telling you what to do next, may be mentally unstable? I know American TV hosts could never get away with saying that, but damn I wish they would one time.
