Meghan McCain: Trump won't attack my dad again

Source: Politico

President Donald Trump won't be trashing Sen. John McCain anytime soon.

After months of criticizing the war veteran over his stance on a GOP health bill and more, the president called the Arizona Republican’s daughter Meghan to say he would back off the cancer-stricken veteran senator.

“I don’t believe he would go there again,” the younger McCain said in an exclusive interview for POLITICO’S Women Rule podcast. “I don’t think at this point in his administration it would be beneficial to him in any way.”

McCain said her conversation with Trump was "very nice."

... which would indicate that she believes he actually calculates the advantage before he speaks. Since the evidence for that is shaky, I wonder if she is projecting based on her knowledge of another politician.

I really don't have much respect for her, anyway, and this sort of solidifies my opinion.

And the instant he gets what he wants it's back to trashing McCain.

Hell, 45* went so far as to call McCain a loser for being a POW.... IMO there's no walking back from that.

Given his history, Meghan seems like someone trump* would love to target for ridicule.

As for me, had anyone ever disrespected my father's character like trump* did McCain's, that individual would be in NO doubt of how I felt. But then I'm just not one of those 'high road' kind of people.

I'm not sure I could even take his call.

Why do republicans who Trump has denigrated turn around and suck up to him, Rubio, Lindsey Graham, Bob Corker, Jeff Flake, etc.

He was also a serial killer. The ability to be charming from time to time doesn't change someone's underlying personality. Twitler is a malignant narcissist and nothing is ever going to change that.
