CIA Director Mike Pompeo Says North Korea Could Be Able to Nuke U.S. in 'Handful of Months'

Source: Mediate

CIA chief Mike Pompeo talked to BBC News and expressed some dire predictions about the future of North Korea’s nuclear program.

As a matter of fact, Pompeo said that Kim Jong Un could be able to launch a nuclear attack at the United States sooner than many of us may think.

“We talk about him having the ability to deliver a nuclear weapon to the United States in a matter of handful of months,” Pompeo said, though he did suggest that “many things are possible” when asked if we had countermeasures in place.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Pompeo has given America a similar time frame for nuclear annihilation at the hands of North Korea.

Sounds a lot like some of the BS rhetoric from the W administration in the run up to the Iraq war.

What this is really about I think he's trying to beat that drum to justify using military force against North Korea when it's really not needed at this point.

Last I looked we had the guy the Electoral College elected.
And after him we will have someone else, that's how a democratic republic works.

"that's how a democratic republic works..."

And in a few years, we may return to that form. That's how informal conversations work...

(no doubt, peevish petulance dislikes nothing more than its own reflection, and will rationalize its own as something different-- something I look forward to with bemused anticipation)

CNN) CIA Director Mike Pompeo recently met with his Russian counterparts when they traveled to the US, according to US ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman.

Russian media is reporting those who met with Pompeo may have included the country's sanctioned spy chief, Sergey Naryshkin.

They know what Kim's capabilities are because they're most likely feeding him tech and supplies on the down-low to prop him up as a Puppet Villain. The sudden quality and quantity of his nuclear arsenal program indicates that he's been getting help since around 2016, not that the North Koreans weren't smart enough to have a program. They just didn't have the resources to ramp up this fast on their own, sanctions or not.

Li'l Kim will start posturing at just the right time to stir the political pot for them, in exchange for food, funding and resources. He's not suicidal, he just wants to keep his kingdom, and keeping the majority of his people thinking they're both special and persecuted by the outside world is the way his father and grandfather maintained their power.
