Pence in Israel: 'The time has come for changes in the Iran nuclear deal'

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 01/23/18 08:06 AM EST

Vice President Pence said Tuesday in Jerusalem that the “time has come” for changes to the Iran nuclear deal, appealing to European countries to join the U.S. in altering the Obama-era agreement.

“If our allies won’t join us, President Trump has made clear we will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal immediately,” Pence said during a meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

“But we hope in the months ahead to be able to strengthen it,” Pence added.

Iran, which has been a proponent of a future Palestinian state, and Israel have had icy relations for years.

Timing of Trump peace plan depends on Palestinians: Pence

Jeff Mason

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said on Tuesday the timing of a long-awaited U.S. Middle East peace initiative depends on the return of Palestinians to negotiations.

President Donald Trump’s advisers have been working on the outlines of a plan for some time. But Palestinians ruled out Washington as a peace broker after the U.S. leader’s Dec. 6 recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“The White House has been working with our partners in the region to see if we can develop a framework for peace,” Pence told Reuters in an interview in Jerusalem on the last leg of his three-day Middle East trip. “It all just depends now on when the Palestinians are going to come back to the table.”

Trump’s Jerusalem move angered the Palestinians, sparked protests in the Middle East and raised concern among Western countries that it could further destabilize the region.

“We’re working on a framework for peace”....riiiight, yet in the same breath he says “We’re moving the US embassy to Jerusalem in 2019”.

And of course they want to undo the Iran agreement!! The Obama administration actually did the hard work of crafting it, didn’t they?? (Can you imagine the numbskulls in this administration crafting anything more than macaroni art?)

Did anyone else hear him talking to the veterans a few days ago saying the liberals did not care about the military and were cutting off the funding for them, he knew the liberals had written a bill to continue veterans pay during the shutdown, the republicans said 'no way'

things like this are the reason I hate republicans, but Pence is a sneaky hypocrite.
