Trump tweets create confusion on GOP plan to avert shutdown; Ryan tries to calm Republicans

The short-term spending bill would keep the government open through Feb. 16 while extending a childrens health insurance program, and rolling back several taxes in the Affordable Care Act. House Republicans hoped to hold a vote as soon as Thursday, and Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) expressed confidence it would pass. ...........................................

(11,885 posts)he'll create another excuse to reject it, so Republicans need to smarten up to what he's doing to them almost on a daily basis to make them look bad, and get together with the Dems for a veto proof bill, and try to show the American people they'll stand up to him for once, and take away his power. If they don't , this will continue, and get worse for them until election time. Right now they are in a bad spot if they don't start doing this, and soon. He's intentionally sabotaging them. He done this in business many times.
