Pawlenty opts out of Senate run in Minnesota

Source: The Hill

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) ruled out running for the Senate seat vacated by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), depriving Republicans of a strong candidate in an unexpected pick-up opportunity on the midterm map.

“I am very interested in public service and service for the common good. There are a lot of ways to do that,” Pawlenty said in an interview to Fox Business Network.

“But I’ll tell you today that running for the United States Senate in 2018 won’t be part of those plans.”

His decision not to run fore the Senate seat in the wake of Franken’s resignation after multiple sexual misconduct allegations is another bad sign for Republicans going into what looks like a difficult midterm election.

Both of them have do nothinh jobs in DC paying megabucks. That's the real bribe for these crooks. Spend a few years doing the masters bidding and you get rich and set for life. Of course, if you are a Democrat the "job" opportunities are much less. Imagine someone as lame as T Paw running a "think" tank. It's true.

And maybe the delay is that God still can't stop laughing.
