House intel committee to interrogate Trump confidante Hope Hicks as early as Friday: report

Source: RawStory

Trusted Donald Trump aide and current White House communications director Hope Hicks is expected to testify before the House Intelligence Committee as early as Friday, CNN is reporting based on multiple sources.

One area of expected questioning is Donald Trump Jr.’s misleading statements about a Trump campaign meeting with Russian operatives.

In December, Trump Jr. told the same committee that he communicated via Hicks in drafting the statement. Hicks was aboard Air Force One with President Trump when the statement was drafted.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has also sought the phone records related to the Air Force One meeting on Trump Jr.’s statement.

Hope Hicks expected to talk to Hill committee
By Manu Raju, Dana Bash and Jeremy Herb, CNN

Updated 6:41 PM ET, Mon January 15, 2018

(CNN)White House Communications Director Hope Hicks is expected to meet with the House Intelligence Committee as soon as this week, making her one of President Donald Trump's closest confidantes to be privately interviewed in the panel's Russia investigation, multiple sources with knowledge of the matter told CNN.

Hicks, a trusted Trump aide for years, was one of then-candidate Trump's first hires as he put together an improbable run for the White House. During the campaign, she was often by Trump's side and attended nearly every rally, while she was in frequent communication with other senior officials as they plotted their tactics to win the White House.

The House panel plans to interview her about any knowledge she has of contacts that occurred between other Trump associates and Russians. And she is bound to be questioned about other controversies as well, namely the White House's involvement in crafting a misleading response last summer once a June 2016 meeting between Russians and Donald Trump Jr. was revealed in the press.

The meeting is expected to occur as soon as Friday, the sources said.

... so on the one side, Mueller can check for coincidences in what HE knew before interviewing her, what she said then, and what she says to the committee. On the other side, the right and Der Dingleberry® will use anything she says to imply that all is well.

In the house and senate. The House Intel is BS due to Nunes and the Senate Judiciary is BS due to Grassely. Both are partisan and a waste of time and money. The only one that may not be considered partisan for the time being is The Senate Intel Committee. We'll see how long that lasts. Hope is full of GOP BS and is "hopeless" as far as any honest testimony is concerned. This is a group of liars. Not only are those who are testifying lying, but so are this conducting the so called investigations. This is so far worse than Watergate...we probably will never find out how bad and deep it goes and who is involved. It is like Nazi Germany...they will get off the hook with a slap on the wrist (if even that). The details will be locked up is govt storage facilities for decades for "fear of the truth and the future of our country" like the X Files.
