The White House on Thursday did not deny that President Trump referred to some immigrants as coming from shithole countries during a heated Oval Office meeting on immigration.
Certain Washington politicians choose to fight for foreign countries, but President Trump will always fight for the American people, White House spokesperson Raj Shah said in a statement.
The Washington Post reported Thursday that Trump grew frustrated when lawmakers proposed retiring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and several African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal.
Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here? Trump said, according to the Post, in reference to African countries and Haiti.

What Raj Shah meant to say was, "President Trump has his head up his ass and is fighting for air".
The White House regrets this error.

(1,652 posts)It should say "restoring" protections, not "retiring" protections. That's why they had the meeting--they wanted him to NOT retire the protections. The mistake is in The Hill story.

The good news is, if the GOP continues to support the piece of shit in the Oval Office, they are doomed as a brand. Some Republican Congressmen will realize this, facilitating Trump's removal this year.
They'll have to disinfect the White House after that repulsive orange maggot is gone.
