Trump Demands 'Tough Primary' For 'Sneaky Dianne Feinstein' Over Release of Dossier Transcript

On Tuesday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) made some waves in Washington by releasing the transcript of a Senate Judiciary Committee interview with Glenn Simpson — one of the founders of Fusion GPS, the Washington firm which published the infamous Trump dossier.

In a Wednesday morning Tweet, President Donald Trump weighed in on Feinstein’s move to release the transcript. Suffice it to say, he wasn’t thrilled.

Trump’s wish may come true. The 84-year-old Feinstein, who is up for reelection in 2018, faces a primary challenge from California’s progressive State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León. But Billionaire activist Tom Steyer, long rumored to be pondering a bid, will not get in the race — according to the L.A. Times.

If trump calls for it it is even less likely to happen.

Republicans usually have remarkably little power to primary a dem, unless it is an open election state and republicans can rush in and vote for another candidate (rat fukeing as they call it).

But it doesn't sound like that is what he is calling for. California does hold open primaries and it is easy for republicans to cross over and vote in the dem primary. So that is a risk I guess.

Yeah, I know. He doesn't understand a thimble's worth about anything. But he has no idea how a political party targets which races and candidates to support financially and/or through coordinated campaigning (several candidates sharing money and staffing resources).

There's no way in hell the national or state party would abandon Feinstein for a novice. If she, or any reason, chooses not to run again, the party would find a much better candidate than this Leon guy.
