Letterman Netflix series gets Obama as first guest: See trailer

Source: Entertainment Weekly

Ready for your first look at David Letterman’s new talk show?

Above is the first teaser trailer for the series, titled My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.

That title suggests a show that’s setting a high bar for booking celebrities with name recognization and Letterman’s first guest certainly qualifies: The show will launch with the first post-presidency TV talk show interview with Barack Obama.

So the hour-long premiere will have two firsts: The former CBS Late Show host emerging from retirement and the former president giving his first on-camera talk-show chat of the Trump era.

Is it me, or is Letterman auditioning for a remake of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET?

I think it's horrible. It looks as if it could hold a week's worth a breadcrumbs and feed a family of birds.

... or give it a severe trim.

It's distracting... I keep waiting for a bird or mouse to appear... I can't hear what he's saying.

Letterman's beard is different. I can't even look at it! So with me, it's not about beards, it's his beard.

I watched Letterman's show from pillar to post, first episode to last, and I miss it mightily, but the Unabomber looks distracts me! I said yes, it was shallow, but there you go.

I don't like such beards on anyone.... unless there is a rational reason for it and they want to shave as soon as they can....

A full-hour interview with Obama and hopefully Letterman will have some good jokes too.
Looking forward to this!

I hope he gets Jon Stewart too.

Most of the guests on his show were just there promoting something, which is true with all of those shows. However, if he was really interested in the person, or the topic, he did good interviews imho.

Peace
