Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said Thursday morning that "nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda," an assurance issued to a caller on Breitbart radio one day after the president said Bannon lost his mind when he left the administration.
We're tight on this agenda as we've ever been, Bannon said Thursday in remarks that were initially reported by CNN.
The former White House chief strategists denial of a rift between him and the president followed the publication of excerpts from a forthcoming book in which Bannon is quoted as calling a summer, 2016, meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner and a Russian attorney promising Kremlin-sourced incriminating information on Hillary Clinton treasonous and unpatriotic.
Excerpts of the book characterize White House staffers as unorganized and back-biting and the president as narcissistic, inept and ignorant. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that 95 percent of the interviews conducted by author Michael Wolff were conducted at the request of Mr. Bannon.

(33,643 posts)But yet Bannon was a nobody who did nothing in the administration.
Obviously since he did nothing he wouldn't have HIRED any of these people, now did he? Trump or one his hirelings ... hired them. Or they're outsiders (from government) like Ailes and Murdoch.
SO ... what the hell difference does it make who 'requested' the 'interviews'? You think we're so stupid as to somehow believe that makes them all 'untrue'?
Not to mention, the 'having an author around' thing was signed off on by Trump, no doubt because his dim mind expected another 'Art of The Deal' type situation to emerge from it. Only this time he totally f-d up on the 'terms' (and the 'terms' are inherently limited when you hold public office i.e. many things you can't stop people from writing about you), and in so doing, failed to protect himself.
No doubt in his delusional mind everyone was going to be HUGELY impressed by the accounts of the job he was doing, because in his mind, all he does is WIN and SUCCEED, period. Also as the AotD ghost-writer pointed out back in 2016, Trump has no concept of the idea of 'bad publicity'. To Trump, any publicity is GOOD, because people are TALKING ABOUT HIM HIM HIM HOORAY!
Sarah, you and that whole administration's BULLSHIT is completely transparent to anyone w/even 1 oz of sense.

(1,819 posts)Because he sees what is coming down the pipe. At the same time he still runs Breitbart and needs his readers and listeners so he's playing it both ways.
