Trump Judicial Nominee Drops Out After Embarrassing Hearing, Per Senate Aide

Source: Huffington Post

WASHINGTON ― President Donald Trump’s judicial nominee Matthew Petersen has withdrawn his name from consideration after a video went viral of him failing to answer basic questions about law in his confirmation hearing, according to an aide to a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“It happened,” the aide told HuffPost on Monday.

Multiple requests for comment from the White House were not returned. Requests for comment from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Judiciary Committee, also were not returned. A request for comment from Petersen was not immediately returned.

Trump nominated Petersen, who is currently a member of the Federal Election Commission, to be a lifetime judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. But Petersen’s lack of qualifications were painfully on display last week as Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) asked him about his courtroom experience.

obviously, he should have known what he was getting into and not agreed, i mean, come on.

but can you imagine interviewing for a job on the national stage and being denied after being called massively incompetent and unqualified?

especially for a republican, i mean, i'd be saying, "me? but what about everyone else you approved??! they're all ok but *i'm* the incompetent one???"

Sen. John Kennedy: "Could you, if pressured, locate your own dick?"

Peterson: "No, sir."

K: "What if you had a map? Could you find your own dick with a map?"

P: "That's really not something I've been called on to do in my current post, Senator."

to a public inquiry into his qualifications, knowing he didn't have any. Maybe that was because he knows so little about the federal trial courts that he didn't know he wasn't qualified, or maybe because he knew he wasn't qualified but figured he could get the job anyhow because he saw so many other totally unqualified people get positions with this maladministration. Maybe he thought, "If Ben Carson, a retired surgeon who seems to know nothing about anything but surgery and certainly knows nothing about public housing, can get appointed Secretary of HUD, why can't I be a federal judge? Betsy DeVos knows squat about public education but she's the Secretary of Education, and Rick Perry got tp be Secretary of Energy even though he didn't know what the agency does and wanted to abolish it. So why the hell can't I be a federal judge?"

If you bluff you're way through, you're set for life. The worst that can happen is that you'll go back to tossing people off the voting rolls.

Everything to gain; nothing to lose.

a kook brothers enterprise, the one in charge of taking over the Federal judiciary. They scour the country to find suitable puke bots that will rubber stamp the kook agenda. They literally gave dump a list. Since he doesn't know anything about anything, and wants to serve the billionaires, he nominates people from that list.

Obviously the kooks are trying to turn the judiciary into another of their bought-and-paid for subsidiaries.
