A conservative watchdog group said Thursday that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit into the FBI's removal and reassignment of a top counterintelligence official from special counsel Robert Mueller's team probing Russian meddling in the U.S. election.
Judicial Watch announced it had filed the lawsuit for all employment forms and records of FBI agent Peter Strzok's involvement in the Russia case after it said the FBI failed to respond to its prior FOIA request in August.
The group is also requesting all "related records of communication" between FBI employees or representatives.
It is disturbing the FBI has stonewalled our request about the Mr. Strzok demotion for four months, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

(19,863 posts)they know the evidence is there for Trump/his campaign team conspiring with Russia.
And I think he is still conspiring with Russia - recall the picture of him laughing it up with the 2 Russians in the oval office back in May.
And also, he has not signed the Russian Sanctions that the senate approved 98-2 back in the summer The sanctions were supposed to be enacted on October 1st, and it is December 14th and Trump has yet to sign the legislation.

When Congress sent President Donald Trump a bill in July that slapped new sanctions on Russia, the president signed the legislation reluctantly while lambasting it as an example of congressional overreach.
The administration has since blown past an October 1 deadline to implement the sanctions. Lawmakers are now searching for answers as to whether the president is even planning to follow the law that they passed and he signed.
<...>
But aside from procedural tactics, Congress is essentially powerless in compelling the executive branch to follow through on the law it forced them to sign.
Per the legislation, the administration was required to issue guidance by October 1 on how it was implementing the sanctions against Russia. That process includes publishing a list of the people and organizations who will be targeted by the sanctions, which are primarily aimed at Russias defense and intelligence sectors.

Meet Judicial Watch, A Driving Force Behind The Clinton Email Story That Keeps Duping The Press
Blog October 2, 2015 3:37 PM EDT OLIVER WILLIS
Judicial Watch is a conservative activist group that has been one of the organizations driving the media narrative on Hillary Clinton's emails. They have a history of dishonest activism, promoting conspiracy theories, and pushing false or misleading narratives.
The organization was formed in the 1990s by conspiracy theorist Larry Klayman, who used the technique of filing spurious lawsuits in an attempt to bring down the Clinton administration. It is now headed by Tom Fitton, who has continued Klayman's methods in an ongoing campaign to antagonize the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton, and other Democrats.
