FBI agent removed from Russia probe also lambasted Sanders, Holder in texts

Source: The Hill

BY JOSH DELK - 12/14/17 02:25 PM EST

The FBI agent removed from the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the U.S. election lambasted then-presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Attorney General Eric Holder in texts to an FBI lawyer, as well as his previously reported negative remarks about President Trump.

Found in the 375 text messages given to Congress by the Justice Department, senior counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok reportedly called supporters of Sanders "idiots," as reported Thursday by Wall Street Journal.

Strzok and attorney Lisa Page also panned former Holder, who would have once been their boss at the Justice Department. During Holder's speech at the Democratic National Convention, Strzok texted “Oh God, Holder! Turn it off turn if off!!!"

Republicans have seized on text messages from Strzok insulting Trump as evidence of political bias in the special counsel probe, from which he has been removed, as well as the FBI's investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server while serving as secretary of State.

Your move, Faux...will you ignore this and ramp up the lies or go turtle on this one and try another tact?

Tough call.

If so, this whole Strzok mess is getting worse not better.

We need Flynn's testimony to get Trump

and since this agent left Mueller's team at end of July and Flynn just recently agreed to cooperate, Strzok certainly has not been interviewing Flynn regarding anything that incriminates Trump, as Strzok was off probe since July.

This is not getting worse, it's actually getting better since the emails show that Strzok was not just anti Trump, but anti-Democratic Holder and anti-Independent Sanders- so he was an equal opportunity critic of people of varying political leanings. So this is a good revelation regarding accusations of bias by Strzok.

is a National Security Adviser who was an unregistered foreign agent for two separate countries. A guy who sold out to the Russians and Turks.

This is media and GOP hype. This agent obviously had lots of opinions about the political climate and wasn’t shy about expressing him to his friend/lover. There is nothing here. It’s like the IRS nonsense - they didn’t only go after Tea Party groups. They investigated folks on the left too. But we didn’t whine as much and the media didn’t hype it enough.

Your vagueness of both premise and conclusion doesn't look too good, either.

Are Republicans saying any investigation is illegitimate if there is bias by the investigators? EVERYONE has biases, by that standard nobody could ever be investigated for anything.
