Trump slams Gillibrand: 'A total flunky for Chuck Schumer'

President Trump early Tuesday blasted Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), calling her a “flunky” for Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and a “lightweight” lawmaker.

Trump’s criticism of Gillibrand comes after the senator said the president should resign over the sexual misconduct allegations that have been made against him. Gillibrand called for Trump to leave office on Monday, as the president’s accusers came back into the spotlight by hosting a press conference in which they called for an investigation into Trump’s alleged past behavior.

Gillibrand said the accusations against Trump are “credible” and should be investigated, but also told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that the president should resign.

Dozens of Democratic female lawmakers are also calling on the House Oversight Committee to investigate the allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump.
