WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The campaign of Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for U.S. senator in Alabama who has been accused of sexual misconduct, appealed on Sunday to President Donald Trump’s supporters, saying a vote for Moore would be a vote for Trump’s agenda.

In the final days before Tuesday’s special election, opinion polls show a tight race between Moore, a 70-year-old conservative Christian and former state judge, and Democrat Doug Jones, a 63-year-old former U.S. attorney.

Dean Young, chief political strategist for Moore, cast Jones as a liberal who would vote against Trump’s priorities such as building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and cutting taxes.

“If the people of Alabama vote for this liberal Democrat Doug Jones, they’re voting against the president who they put in office at the highest level,” Young told ABC’s “This Week.” “So it’s very important for Donald Trump. ... If they can beat him, they can beat his agenda, because Judge Moore stands with Donald Trump and his agenda.”

Roy Moore rails against “outsiders” telling Alabamians how they should vote in Tuesday’s Senate race. But he makes an exception for a guy from Queens.

“This is Donald Trump on trial in Alabama,” Moore’s chief strategist, Dean Young, said on ABC’s “This Week.” He declared the outcome will be a verdict on Trump and his agenda.

“If the people of Alabama vote for this liberal Democrat Doug Jones, then they’re voting against the president who they put in office at the highest level.”

The president cast doubt on accusations from women that Moore preyed on them sexually as teens and has gone all in for the Republican candidate, including recording a robocall released Sunday. “Roy Moore is the guy we need to pass our ‘Make America Great Again’ agenda,” Trump says.

Trump won Alabama by 28 points, but polls indicate the Senate contest is much closer.

Although they did lay the groundwork to lay the blame on “outside liberal agitators” -so there is that.

You are also ok with Trump grabbing p*ssy anytime he wants to, and ok with the many women that also accuse him of sexual abuse. Including a 13 year old. Plus his daily lying, his taking away healthcare from many including children, his opposite Robin Hood tax plan, and so much more.
