McConnell Walks Back Roy Moore Criticisms: It's Up to Alabama to Decide

Source: The Daily Beast

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Sunday appeared to walk back his criticisms of Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore. “I’m going to let the people of Alabama make the call,” he said on ABC’s This Week. But just a few weeks ago, after multiple women came forward accusing Moore of sexual misconduct, McConnell was advocating that Moore “step aside” from the race, adding he believes the women who have accused the former state Supreme Court justice. McConnell’s apparent reversal comes as President Donald Trump has adopted a strategy of backing Moore without saying his name, instead opting to bash the Democratic candidate, Doug Jones.

They did it with Trump too. I hope no one still believes they would oust Moore should he win.

Mitch McConnel wanted Roy Moore to drop out of the race after the point when the republican party can no longer place a candidate on the ballot. This would have guaranteed a democrat winning the senate seat. This should tell you that at least he was more concerned about something more than politics or votes.

Maybe that changed now but the way I look at it, the damage has been done and what has been said can never be taken back. Bookmark this post because I believe Roy Moore is going to lose a close race. But by saying this, Mitch can still go back to the base and say that he came around and at least gave Roy Moore his chance to run and win.

I really cannot see how anyone can look a what has transpired with Mitch and think this is somehow about getting a senate vote. If it was, he would have never asked him to withdraw from the race.

ol' mitch, being intimately familiar with the doofus fake xtian voters in that part of the country, knew they would still vote for moore and so wanted to seem to be doing the right thing, while knowing the outcome would be unaffected.

And ol' roy, being a quite accomplished financial scammer in his own right (e.g. the gravy training he has been doing off some "moral" charity) is a lock to vote for the GOPee tax abomination. Especially since it includes red meat for the fake xtians, e.g. ditching the Johnson Amendment.

I think Bannon's piggybanks to primary Republican's who don't do the giveaways was a factor in the tax cut going through.

Claims will be made that the election was "rigged," the Alabama election laws will be twisted beyond recognition, lawsuits will be brought in the state supreme court, and the state legislature will become involved in attempting to overturn the result.

is that if it's close, the voting machines will conveniently "help out." And I'm sure a lot of people who think they are voting will be surprised to find that their votes won't be counted, courtesy of Cross Check and other election theft mechanisms.

The electronic voting machines should all be impounded. Elections should only be done on paper ballots from now on. It's up to the Democratic Party in each and every state to see that this happens.

Paper ballots can't be hacked and they provide a verifiable document in case of a recount. This election is too important and the GOP is guaranteed to cheat.

Desperate Schumer Defends Narrow Margin In Senate By Flip-Flopping To Support Franken, Despite Earlier Admonishments!!!?!!"

Ya know, obviously Franken's not running but if he was right now, and everything else about the story was the same, and Dems held power right now is what I mean.

Anybody think for ONE SECOND the spin wouldn't be along those lines?

Thanks Corporate Media, you freaking prostitutes!

Letting McConnell off this easy on this flip-flop is RIDICULOUS.
