Poll: Dem holds three-point lead over Moore in AL Senate race

Source: The Hill

BY BRANDON CARTER - 12/02/17 08:27 AM EST

Alabama Senate candidate Doug Jones (D) holds a three-point lead over opponent Roy Moore (R) less than two weeks before the key special election, according to a new poll released Saturday.

The Washington Post-Schar School finds that 50 percent of likely voters polled say they would vote for Jones in the election, compared to 47 percent who say they’d vote for Moore. Just three percent of voters in the poll said they would vote for someone else or were undecided.

Jones' lead is within the poll's margin of error, making Jones and Moore neck and neck in the race.

The poll also finds that 53 percent of likely voters say Jones has a “higher standard of personal moral conduct” between the two candidates, compared to just 34 percent who said the same of Moore.

10. Virginia went blue because they voted on paper ballots

I'm sure the quality of the Democratic candidates was a major reason also. But it wasn't possible for the GOP to hack their election since nothing was recorded on the electronic voting machines. It was all on paper and it could be proven by recount if the need had arisen.

Voting machines can be and will be hacked, so they should be banned in every state. It's up to the Democratic Party in each state to make this happen because the GOP will never do it.

shows how sick this world has become. Roy Moore should have been outcast years ago after breaking the law when he was a judge that was removed from office. Instead, repugs reward him.

BUT, chances are real good moore will be elected. The character of the country was shown when the egregious tax bill was passed by the Senate and that "character" will be compounded by the election of moore.
moore is a pig, a child molester, a liar and any other reprehensible adjective that can be used. He should be in jail, but it looks as tho' he is headed to the Senate.
I HOPE NOT!
There ought to be a law against republicanism. They are all traitors.

I am skeptical that it will happen in Alabama, but if it did, that would perhaps indicate a seismic shift that the populace in those deep red states are finally tired of being screwed over by their republican representatives

It will be interesting to see the final vote count and how it matches up with the polling.

Hey Alabama, the country is watching to see if you elect a child molester as your Senator!

Not everyone will admit voting for the child molester and Democrats are vilified by large number of Alabamans.
