WASHINGTON (AP) Former Vice President Joe Biden said he is uncertain about a run for president in 2020, but indicated hes looking for fresh blood to lead the Democratic Party back to the White House.
Ive done it a long time, said Biden, who previously ran for president in 1988 and 2008, and Im just not sure its the appropriate thing for me to do.
His comments came in an interview with Snapchats Good Luck America set to be released Tuesday morning, in one of Bidens first on-camera interviews since leaving office in January. The Associated Press was provided with an exclusive preview of the interview.
Biden suggested that if no one steps up, hed be open to giving it another try. Im not doing anything to run, he said. Im not taking names, Im not raising money, Im not talking to anybody, but somethings got to happen.

(3,051 posts)Politics is so crappy only crappy people seem to be running.
Maybe its because I remember days when Tip O'Neil and Ronald Reagan would have shouting matches at each other during the day, but were friends after 5:00 PM. They were on the same team, even if they disagreed about how to play the game.
Somewhere around Gary Hart things went off the rails.

(21,946 posts)the younger ones are more in tune with today. A good mix would be nice. I think a younger person should run for president. Joe has been there long enough, he's where he needs to be now.
