UPDATED: Trump Weighs In on Roy Moore Allegations

Source: The Daily Beast

In a statement provided to The Daily Beast via White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, President Donald Trump weighed in on the allegations of child molestation against Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore. “Like most Americans the president believes we cannot allow a mere allegation, in this case one from many years ago, to destroy a person’s life,” the statement reads. “However, the president also believes that if these allegations are true, Judge Moore will do the right thing and step aside.” By putting the ball in Moore’s hands, Trump does not go nearly as far as many other Senate Republicans who have demanded that Moore withdraw from the race.

Trump: If Roy Moore Allegations Are True, He’ll ‘Do The Right Thing And Step Aside’

by Joseph A. Wulfsohn | 12:48 am, November 10th, 2017

Early Friday morning, President Trump weighed in on the controversy surrounding Roy Moore.

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke to the press on Air Force One and went on-record.

Yesterday, The Washington Post broke a bombshell report that Roy Moore allegedly initiated sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32 years old. Three other women accuse the judge of pursing them when they were in their late teens.

In a highly-contested GOP primary, Trump backed Luther Strange, who some perceived to be as part of the “establishment” especially since Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell backed his candidacy. Meanwhile, Steve Bannon and several other Trump supporters backed Moore. Moore ultimately won the primary and is supposed to face off in the general election on December 12. As of now, he remains defiant as several GOP senators have called for him to drop out of the race.

"Like most Americans the president believes .... " is Trump telling his base what to believe. This is carefully articulated political propaganda, NOT a human response to a child being molested. This is how a pussy grabber reacts to maintain power over everyone.

a whole lot of us common folk don't aspire to fame and fortune and everything that goes with it because we're the last to throw stones, if you know what I mean.

If you have the hubris and audacity to think you don't answer to the past, you gawdamn will be answering to us!
