Clinton touts Dem victories: This is what happens when we come together

Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that Democrats’ election victories one day earlier serve as a “reminder of what’s possible when we come together and fight for what we believe in.” The former Democratic presidential nominee highlighted the victories of candidates backed by her political action group, Onward Together, and other political organizations.

“Last night was a great reminder of what’s possible when we come together and fight for what we believe in,” she tweeted. “So I wanted to take a few minutes to celebrate the extraordinary successes of a few groups I—and Onward Together—proudly fight alongside.”

Clinton also praised groups like Run for Something, which recruits young Democrats to run for office, and Emerge America, which backs young female Democratic candidates.

She also noted the efforts of Color of Change PAC, which backed progressive candidate and civil rights lawyer Larry Krasner in his win in the Philadelphia district attorney’s race.

We came together against tRump. After his impeachment and indictment and hopefully many others getting taken out, then we will have to do the hard work of dealing with the schism in our own party. To pretend we came together for Democrats rather than against tRump is tone deaf. And if we ignore the mote in our own eye, we may well fall apart. That the Republicans are going to fall apart first is slightly cold comfort.
